Ok, with that wonderful new disclaimer for all you people out there (read the disclaimer, learn the disclaimer, love the disclaimer) so's you knows that you shouldn't take anything on here as anything coming from the Army or whatnot we can get along our merry ways can't we?

So yours truly is now at home on a 16 day holiday leave from basic training at wonderful Ft. Knox and loving every minute of it. Waking up at four in the morning for P.T., learning to stab, beat, shoot and blow people/things up and getting to wear the uniform of an American solider is all really awesome (why else would I have signed on for 3 years of my life?), even if it's pretty damn tough in ol' basic but dear God it's good to be home with the people you love and remembering exactly what gives you the reasons to go out there and fight the terroists who want to rip it all away. Not too much has been going on but you know that's basically all I wanted...just hanging out, getting fat and lazy and being able to relax for awhile... can a scout ask for any more?

So for all you who actually stumble across this run down little corner of the internet...have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays! May it be filled with peace, joy and family!!!

When religious people need to stop acting childish

Everybody probably is aware of the whole Ted Haggard debacle by now. If not, basically what it comes down to is that the essential head of American Evangelical Christians, a man who has vehemently lambasted homosexuals and same-sex unions is most likely himself gay. Not only is he gay but since he's an evangelical he uses male prostitutes to keep it a secret. O, and did I mention that the fella uses meth? Now there's lots of people out there (the pastor himself included) who are throwing up a shitfit about these allegations as untrue but coming from Oklahoma, which happens to be the land of fake religion and twisted televangalists, I've seen enough bullshitters disguised as holy men to see that this guy is probably a liar. All in all being gay really isn't a big deal. Actually it's not a "deal" at all. However, for somebody who does nothing but equate gays with satan's pawns and destroyers of our nations it's pretty freakin telling of what type of person he is. Thanks for making the rest of us theists and Christians look like a group of charlatans and liars you hateful bastard.

All the ranting aside, that's not really what this post is about. The post is about evangelical reactions to this whole mess. Now first off there is some pretty solid evidence behind these allegations. Pretty solid, as in, completely solid. The pastor himself came out saying he went to the male escort who made the allegations for a "massage" and he even admits to buying METH from him. Well a pastor admits to buy meth from a make hooker but then turns around and says he threw it away without using it. Are you kidding me? Are you serious?

He added, "I have never done drugs, ever -- not even in high school."

Anybody who buys meth uses meth. It's not a drug people pussyfoot around. You don't just start off at meth for your first swim in the drug ocean. O, and people usually go to prostitues for one specific reason...

In the end though the evangelical aptitude for denial wins out however.

"It's political, right before the elections,"

"People are always saying stuff about Pastor Ted," she told the AP. "You just sort of blow it off."

"Ted Haggard is a friend of mine, and it appears someone is trying to damage his reputation as a way of influencing the outcome of Tuesday's election,"

Yup, just blow it off. This is clearly a ploy by dem durn librals trying to alter the election and not simply the admissions of a gay man sick of seeing the blatent hyposcrisy of another gay man who stood at the pulpit each Sundy and not only pretended to be what he wasn't but spewed hatred against it. Go ahead and shrug it off, because you know, those faggots can't tell the truth...

Hey evangelicals, it'd be nice if you stopped making the rest of us believers look like idiots.

Fred Phelps is a terroist? No wai!!!111

Most everybody knows who Fred Phleps and the goddamn morons over at godhatesfags.com are so I'll not bother with and explaination with them in this post (use the link if your unaware). Most people also know of the recent Amish school shooting, a horrific and tragic event, which recently occured in Pennsylvania. After this event the westboro baptist church (fred phelp's cult) aired out some more of their typical nonsensical ranting. The claims that God hates the Amish and that they are self-serving which they made are so absolutely insane there's also really no need to go into them (hey fred, I didn't see your ass down here building homes free of charge for tornado victims you self-serving asshole. Who was it? O wait, it was the Amish of course!). However, a notable circumstance occured following this last threat to picket the funerals which warrents some discussion.

Basically what unfolded was that the group pulled out of the picket after recieveing airtime, an hour to be exact, on a radio talkshow. This is interesting for a few reasons. First off, it shows that the true objective of phelps and his cronnies has been, and always will be, to be in the lime light of public attention. They are media whores. They use tragic events to try and gain attention which they capitalize upon to spread their message of paranoic fear of homosexuals. O noes...the gays are out to eat our children!!! Second, they literally feed and get joy off of the suffering of others. That is why they wish to spread their message as much as possible, to cause pain. You see, these people happen to be strict predestinationists and as such, do not believe anybody can change in order to please God but rather we are all already marked for heaven and hell. As such no amount of their preaching will ever serve to do any "good" since we have no free-will to listen and make any sort of response in the first place. Therefore, when you believe like this, the only reason you would go to a funeral in "protest" is in order to cause more pain and suffering to people during their worst hour. They want to kick others while they are down. They want to cause sorrow. That is their highest ambition.

Their fanatical devotion to their ideology is also expressed in the desire to change the current state of laws in order to "outlaw homosexuality and instate the death penalty". In order to gain publicity to try and bring about this change, they cause pain to others so as to get media attention and also these people use the threat of funeral picketing as an intimidation method to attempt to coerce others to pussyfoot around them. That's exactly what happened with this lastest travesty. In the end they traded their picketing for a much more enjoyable prize... radio time. The wbc doesn't give a fuck about the people they protest or the grief they cause so long as they get the spotlight for a few minutes in which to pour out their asinine doctrine.

Does this sound familiar to anybody? This set tactic of using fear and intimidation to bully others into conforming with their desires? I'll let dictionary.com spell it out for you:

Damn, that sounds spot on to me.

I understand what the radio show host was attempting to do. He was trying to save some people some extra grief in their time of sorrow. But in the end he gave the terroists what they wanted, and the only thing that does is teach them that in the future their fear tactics and grief mongering will get them exactly what they want. In the end, let them come. Let them cause an entire nation to despise them, ostracize them, and revile their actions. Let them cause us to hate them. They can't win, their message is evil and unacceptable to every decent human being on Earth. Let them unify us in our hate for them. Because in the end, if you let them have their radio time, if you give them what they really want, you let the motherfuckers win.

In the category of the fucking insane

The news never ceases to amaze. Browsing around CNN today I came across this story.

Yahweh Ben Yahweh, a former cult leader linked to nearly two dozen gruesome killings in the 1980s, is seeking immediate release from parole supervision because he has advanced cancer and wants to "die with dignity," his lawyers said Friday.

Ok, for a moment lets ignore the sick irony behind the fact that a man convicted of having a direct hand in severing the heads off of people whom he, in his sick fucking excuse for a mind, deemed he had an authority to take from this Earth, is asking for mercy in the way he faces his impending death. Let's ignore the fact that he for some reason believes he has a right to "die with dignity" when he stole that right from his victims when ordering their deaths in a horrific and disgusting manner. Let's for some reason pretend like his pleas for compassion matter over the blood of those he slaughtered. Go down towards the end of the article and you'll find this:

If your trying to meet your death with dignity that means your not trying to use your cancer treatment to stay alive. At that point your trying to get your cancer treated in some vain hope that when your let out of confinment you can gain back your health and get a new lease on the life you forfitted when taking those of others. In all actuality, you don't have the right to be treated for your cancer you worthless excuse for a human being. Die, and die in shame for what you've done.

"He is not a risk of flight. He is not a danger to the community. He is frail and he is dying," his attorney Jayne Weintraub said. "It's time for the bars to be removed."

Bull. The bars should never be removed. He should never again taste of freedom. Let him rot in his cage like the animal he is.

"Yahweh Ben Yahweh is entitled to die with dignity," Weintraub said.

No, he doesn't. Die in disgrace monster and may the world never again see somebody of your kind.

Throughout life I've never been a particularly optimistic person in the sense that it has been a very hard endeavor when viewing and expieriencing this world, to get too terribly far from all the dark stains upon the heart of mankind. In every era of our history, in all the moments of our existence we have always managed to bring about the hatred, betrayal, abandonment and bloodshed which has marked and destroyed the lives of so very many of our fellow creatures. We have not only created evil and wrongdoing but have wallowed in that mire until emerging so covered in it that we're no longer dinstinguishable as human beings. Instead we appear as monsters. For as long as I can remember the I've been unable to step too far away from the remembrance of this sadness we've created. In the end it always gets to me, and it breaks my heart.

Don't think this makes me pessimistic though. Actually, in a way it makes me quite the opposite because the only reason all the bad gets to me so profoundly is on account of my great love of life. When you look at the world and say "I can't believe this is the way things are" is only because you know that it can be such a profoundly beautiful place. When night is all around, you lament because you've seen the joy of day and place your hope in it's return. What people don't understand is that in a way my negativity is really my hope in a world that can erase all the pain of mankind... a hope in happiness.

Sadly, this hope is one shattered on a daily basis. It leaves me with nights like tonight where everywhere I turn I see the world on fire. And it really is burning. From each of it's corners the flames spread in steady resolve. In every direction I turn there is something which leaves me in fear for those I love... not some half-hearted concern that somewhere there is some not so nice place or situation they should and can easily avoid but rather the dread that very soon the floodgates will open and they'll be at the mercy of the on-rush.

It is my greatest fear, the thought which tears my heart in pieces... that somehow the insantiy of the mob of mankind will bring them the pain and suffering which they desire to inflict upon the rest of us. So when confronted with this, as the flames fan higher into the night, as more hatred spills more blood, and as the monsters seek out my family and friends it gives me the resolve to not only hope in a better life for them but gives me the determination to give whatever of myself possible to ensure it.

In the darkest moments, when every dank, dark and evil thing I despise oppresses my soul and makes me sick to the pit of my stomache it also renews me that one undeniable grace which gives me strength... love.

The suffering is not pleasant, but it helps me to hope in a better tomarrow.
